New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

I’m digging through my bins to put together an advancer and points plate for this project. One bag has all the original bits from my 1976 cb750F (I used an electronic ignition instead). It’s in perfect shape. Visually identical. Is there any difference in the advancer between the K and F that year?

530 X 100 drive chain arrived from Revco.ca in Quebec (I think). Best pricing by far and really quick delivery for only +$10. I’m easily distracted, so that will probably go on next!

Looped through the new chain today and then stopped. I have a useless, tiny chain riveting tool that frustrates me every time I use it. There’s a new chain sitting on the bench for the Honda Varadero next. I’m pretty sure I buggered a master link, last time I used it.

Went on Amazon and bought something beefier, with a large screw in handle. It will be here tomorrow. Sometimes it’s better to “pause”? Installed the advancer and complete points plate instead.

Thanks! A good friend owns it and he really takes good care of it. I did it about 7 years ago. The paint was by a fantastic shop in Toronto and finding a perfect set of pipes and muffler really finished it very nicely. This shot was with the Hindle exhaust that I’m saving for my Rickman CR750.

The Benelli went to a US collector in Florida about a year ago. You can see more about the Rickman in the project file I created for it here…….

Cleaned, polished and lightly lubricated the advancer, springs are good. Points and plate are statically set. No avoiding it, carbs are next!
