Sorry about the loss of your dog Cliff.
I started the stip down of my K6 yesterday. Got the oil out for a change and found no filter washer in the filter. I thought I had a few new ones but after searching all afternoon yesterday and some this morning decided I need to order some more....I was thinking I'll fire it up to see how it sounds before a complete strip down.

Today I finished the K6 100%. Fitted one of the new “no name” points cover. It fit perfectly and looks nice. It had a perfect “Honda” cover, so wrapped it up and shelved it. Installed a new tack cable seal in the cam cover and the small badge Stu sent me. That’s it!

Newday777 sent me a single, orange Diamond badge for this project. I installed it today, which means 4-5 Forum members have sent along parts for this build. Thank you Stu! I’ll take a picture, next time. Much appreciated!

Thanks David! Winter is the perfect season to focus on a project bike. This one was remarkably well looked after and certainly is a “preservation restoration” the frame finish and bodywork/paint are almost 50 years old! Makes it fairly unique.

So today I was sorting through what I have (vs. what I need) for the Sandcast Project and realized the nice clean points and points plate unit I used here came out of that engine. The Sandcast had not been running since the late ‘70’s, so I’m putting that original stuff back.

My K1 has been running very well on an inexpensive EBay electronic points unit for a several years now. Ordered another one for the K6. Based on the weather outlook here, I’ll have it installed before my next ride!
