1972 Suzuki GT380 I had charge of it for a year in 1973 while my friend was deployed and learned to love street riding....
New CB450 K7 after my friend returned...
New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

For sure he is the perfect choice. Scott has been a serious off road rider, all his life. Twenty years ago he was part of the Canadian Team that went to New Zealand for the International 6 day trials. He really looks after his other machines and does most of his own work.

After seeing what you got for your K6 I think mine deserves a stock exhaust system. Another tank is being painted for it. The Delkevic 4 to 1 exhaust is loud! I'm sure I could sell the pipe locally. My K6 is not finished as nice as yours and since I don't sell my bikes I guess the current value is all academic. A good sale to deserving buyer. Well done!

Cliff….. My selling spree is over! I just got sick of bikes sitting in the back of the shop. Here in Ontario the Insurance arrangements are not as generous as in BC. I have three “old bikes” insured (each separately) and with the arrival of the Varadero, they are getting less and less use……. The K1, K3, Rickman CR750 and the Sandcast are plenty enough for now. And I almost forgot the growing fleet of dirt bikes my son and grandson are keeping here at the Farm!

Are you going to try the “341” replicas from vintagecb750.com?

Hi! I've got bikes stored here where ever they'll fit- I can't bring myself to sell anything yet. I guess I'm a Honda Hoarder. The Collector plate program here is very good, it didn't cost anything to add the K6 to the list of insured bikes. I think I have 11 bikes on that one plate for about $400., just liability coverage though.
The pipes on vintagecb750's site are sold out. I have previously purchased sets of pipes, 300's, from David Silvers and they came in a Yamiya box. The price seems good and the quality is very high in my opinion. I've visited Yamiya's shop in Nagoya and met the owner so I seem to have a connection with them. They offered me a job too. It will be 341's for the K6 just because they are right for the bike. Unfortunately they are a bit quieter than the 300's.

Cliff ……. Envious of your insurance plan! The pipes I just installed on the Sandcast were from Yamiya. The packaging is fabulous and they are perfect in every way. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy “341’s” from them! Good luck!

My K2 got Yamiya no numbers.
Not exactly as 341 but better for me and my ears (nice song), bike runs very well with the better flowing pipes.
(Wool around diffusers removed)

Only the CB750 fans see the difference. Diffusers not with circular "plates"  plus not a dented pipe close to brake pedal. It must reduce flow on one cylinder.

I think strict bike collectors want the Honda stock with correct stamps HM341 on the pipes. NOS HM341 cost crazy money if found.

PeWe….. The “no number” Yamiya pipes I just installed on the Sandcast are indeed stunning! This K6 had three very good “341” and I had an extra to replace a rotten one. Very original!

Bill…. Bridgestone Accolade II. They were new on the bike when I got it, so reused them when I built the fresh wheels. Here’s the matching front. They looked right and the reviews I read seemed positive.

Oil can flow so it looks like something else.
Chain lube or oil seal on the shifter shaft.

My friend's K4 neutral switch was leaking, earlier this spring tried replacing just the oring first, it still leaked. I finally replaced the switch and now the leak is gone.

He’s a very seasoned rider. Prefaced his call by telling me how happy he is with the bike. He’ll be fine.

The gentleman that bought this cb750K6 needed an appraisal for his insurance company. Their local guy valued it at $14,500 (Canadian)! I should have asked for more….

Thinking about this. What a scam? My poor friend will now get a premium based on this high number set by the appraiser? An appraisal he also had to pay for. In any other business this would be called collusion and price fixing…..

I believe I would be getting a different appraisal rather than let insurance rape me over and inflated appraisal year after year! That is near sandcast pricing, not a K6...
Can you imagine an insurance claim for it if it were stolen after they had insured it for nearly 15k... Would they pay it without complaint or try to reduce the payout?
