Back when I was a parts manager in the mid 70s I knew there were guys that would fab cables but I never had the opportunity to learn how to make them. After watching this birdcage tooling(the title caught my attention as I'd never heard that term on cables)and also the making of the cables and soldering video, I sure wish I'd have had the teaching of it back then. I might have gotten more into fabricating cables.
Thanks for sharing this great learning opportunity. It's still good to continue to learn at 67. As someone told me years ago, if you don't learn at least 3 things a day you are not living......

Prior bikes....
1972 Suzuki GT380 I had charge of it for a year in 1973 while my friend was deployed and learned to love street riding....
New CB450 K7 after my friend returned...
New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....
1983 GL1100A, 1999 GL1500 SE, 1999 GL1500A

 I post it for learning purposes.   I come across some helpful videos and most of us live on budgets.  It is getting harder to get certain parts. Some new replacement cables are also different than the stock old cable. It is not that hard to make cables.   Check out his other videos on cable making.
