Sprocket diameter.
« on: November 21, 2023, 07:05:44 AM »
I'm currently running a stock 630 41T rear sprocket.  It is really close to the lower spring platform of my shock.  After doing some reading I'm thinking of exchanging it for a 630 38T. Not only could it fix my problem but it could tame the wish of wanting a 6th gear.  I know it will be slower off the line but this is more of a cafe cruzer than a cafe racer.
Anybody know the difference in diameter of these two sprockets?
Thanks in advance.
Oh BTW this is on a '78 so sprockets are spaced out OEM and I'm running a 160 rear tire. No room to slide the sprockets in.

Have you considered swapping over to 530 chain and sprockets ?
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !
