Did you replace that #@$! shaft seal in between the 2 chambers? If not, the pressure comes out low, and lower when hot.If your new seal on the pressure relief valve is too tight the pressure goes high, vice-versa if the new spring was not the right calibration - which I have often found in the "kits" sold to rebuild these pumps. I use the old spring, and if the pressure is still lower than 60 PSI at idle engine speed, have added thin shims under that spring to raise the bypass pressure a bit - but, this also involves dribbling more oil...
