Idle Screw not touching, '73 CB350F
« on: December 10, 2023, 02:58:14 PM »
Hi all,

I'm putting my carbs back on after a rebuild and noticed that the idle screw does not touch the part of the arm that adjusts the idle (see the side view pic of the screw). I noticed that the bolts on the top of the accelerator assembly are not lined up (see the top view pic). I tried loosening bolt #2 to line it up with #1 but it isn't moving. I *think* if I can line it up with bolt #1, the arm will move in the right direction and the idle screw will touch.

Any suggestions on how to move it? Also, will moving it also move my slides and I will need to do the bench synch again?

Thanks in advance.

Those misaligned screws: one of them is not on the flat spot of the throttle's shaft. They should both have little flat spots where they locate to hold the collar in place.
