CB750K6 Fuel Pipe Routing
« on: December 12, 2023, 01:09:13 AM »
My carbs are off at the moment. Does anyone have anything that will show me how the fuel lines run and join, (including the run through the carb gantry), to connect to the fuel tank's left side single fuel tap?

Many thanks.
Martin

The first two pictures are from the web.
2nd shows the line to petcock coming out through the hole in the carb rack mounting web.
3rd is my K5 carbs on the bike.(same as K6)
Hope that helps.

Thanks for taking the time to do that, that's clear. Appreciated.

Before I took the head apart, I was struggling with cyls 1 & 2 running too rich, 3 perhaps a little rich and 4 just right. I wondered if the fuel feed was favouring the left side too much, but it was set up like the photos.

Back to the drawing board!

If your carbs are stock (and all stock brass OEM jetting), I'd pull the carbs and re-measure your floats. I have a K5 and I have mine set at 25.5 mm with no leaks from the bowls when on center or side stand. I'd then re-adjust the idle screws to stock setting and vacuum sync them again afterwards.
