 I haven't seen anything on our bikes, but the Kawasaki 2 strokes are setting sales price records.

Looks like a very mixed bag Don. Couple of Sandcast sales caught my eye (both disturbingly cheap):

I've been reading where a 72 Kaw Z2 (not H2) that sold at Mecum's for $85,000 is now off. Apparently most of it's stamped VIN on the frame is unreadable and appears to have been ground off. It was brought to Mecums attention and the buyer wont be held to the sale. Assuming what I read is true, I'm still having a hard time wondering how that bike even made it to the auction block without out someone noticing the unreadable VIN earlier.

it does surprise me that someone bid for this without checking it properly . the headstock is a mess i would have run a mile as soon as i saw it . for that money i would expect a good fake at least!

An interesting auction again. Kawasaki triples certainly sold well.

Looking at it compared to notes I made last year, the CB400Fs were similar prices this year except for one exceptional price last year ($12k), once again there was a K6 that made strong money $18k last year, $22k this year- I wonder if it is the same bike.

Last year there were 26 CB750s, total about $229k, so average $8800 roughly. I haven't been through the 750s yet but there seem to be absolutely loads of them this year.
