Looking for a Suzuki transmission
« on: November 25, 2023, 12:03:33 AM »
I've been looking for a 6-speed Suzuki transmission from a FXR150, Raider 150, Satria etc etc but had no luck so far.
I know there is people from all over the world on this forum so if anyone can help find one I would REALLY appreciate it  ;D

Bucket racers (in New Zealand I believe?) used to race these engines and the bikes were sold in Greece, Malaysia and so on so there must be some still left  ::)

I contacted a NZ racing club and got a response from the president. He said they are getting very hard to find but pointed me in a direction where I might be able to buy a close ratio road racing transmission.

I may have found some of the necessary parts from Malaysia. Hoping to get confirmation soon.

Oldschool comparison and going through tens of pictures I just realized there is no five and six speed transmission... well, actually there is but the five speed is made just by removing parts from a six speed.

Malaysian Suzuki was not willing to do business with me even though they did send me prices etc.
I got lucky and was offered a second hand transmission, complete with shifting drum, forks etc. etc. by Motogaga and bought it.

Coming up is a six speed, big bore, stroker, racing cams, ported head with oversize valves, racing carb and racing ignition with a shifter Sachs XTC "125"  ::)
