Just got back from a week long trip to watch the oldest grandson get married in Kansas City. The weather was PERFECT for riding , too bad we flew, so no motorcycle. However upon returning home I did have My 24 in 24 dog tag, THANKS KEVIN!

Now that I have one from this year AND one from last year I thought that I would try them as zipper pulls for the chest pockets on my riding jacket. When I go to check if I closed them after I start off, I can't tell with my gloves on. So if they don't flip around and slit my throat, it will be a good thing!

Again thank you Kevin, Terry, & budman for promoting this memory of Frank, a.k.a. 75four. Now the rest of you......get those rides in.

I can take a deep breath now that I see your awards have arrived safely.

Yes Bud and Terry contribute very much, and YOU ALL contribute very much.
Where else is there a place that you can:

Ride your favorite motorcycles
Go to your favorite places
Have your favorite meals
Take nice photos
Share your adventures
Honor Frank who thought this up
Earn a badge to cement your contribution

That’s a pretty good line up

#28  158 km
Today's ride a test ride of the modifications done after yesterday's ride.

Route almost like yesterday, but faster without additional small roads.
Sorry, no photos.

1. Removed washers under fork caps.
Result: More comfortable and different stance making corners feeling better, safer and more fun. I feel more part of the bike.

Front after closer to 200kmh feels a little scary. Maybe if I hang over the tank, not act as a wind sail will make it possible to test after 210kmh ;D ;D

2. Bigger main jets. From 142.5  to 145.
Result:  No pinging and much better throttle response in higher speeds.

I had thoughts to increase main last year after installing correct needles (leaner).

At my way back, 20 km from home heaven opened with a horrible rain. Not for bike riding nor cars either.

Bad sight and roads filled with water. Happy to have fresh tires.
All dried insects on bike are cleaned off by the water. My leathers cleaned too, soaking wet.

Per,

Is that the 970 k6 requiring all that 145 fuel through those 32TMRs….?

Sounds like there’s more horses to feed….😁

#64 for 107 km. to the Elora car show. After seeing this engine I think I will not complain too much about working on cb750 carbs!
Don’t see too many Parkwood station wagons either..

I got out and rode today but not enough to qualify for a ride. It's my first ride since I started radiation treatments. I went to town and back on the 80' GS 1100E. For a 44yo bike it still rips. 8)

Yes.
The shorter baffle might be involved.
145 was earlier too rich with the richer needle and longer baffle. AFR value on Dyno.

I'll  call the dyno guy and ask for a time.
He usually runs and adjusts fuel injection bikes, mostly HD when not wrenching or machining/porting them.
So getting a single free hour for AFR and power is tricky.
Probably on vacation now.

#16 on Thursday evening. Met a few friends down at “Rhino’s” on Rice Lake for ‘wing night. Sat on the deck and had a great time. The K1 ran well but best of all the $75 ALPHA vented jacket I bought on Amazon was amazing. Armour in the shoulders and elbows, and a decent back pad. Tons of flow through air and the adjustable wrist and waist straps keep it from flapping. Great deal. I used it yesterday on the Varadero and I need to put the stock, short windscreen back on for the next few months. Needs more air flow.

Ride #30, 191 miles

I had a slightly longer ride planned today, but I left a little late and then I missed a turn and improvised.

I ended up heading to Junction, which wasn't the original plan.  Snapped some creek pics on the way, gassed up and headed to Mason.  I crossed the Llano River and snapped some more pics, but from the bridge this time.  No traffic at all.  I was riding in the opposite direction this time, than on my ride a few weeks back.  When I got to Mason there was a big shindig in the town square.  Looked like they might have been dedicating the rebuilt courthouse that I snapped a pic of a few weeks back.  Small town style.

I zigzagged my way to Llano for some more gas and thought about stopping for some lunch, but headed home.  Ate a PB&J and banana sandwich and took a nap.  Thought I'd save my dining money for tomorrow.

Probably going to ride again tomorrow.  A 300+ miler would be nice.

Road to Sicamous BC last week with a riding group of mostly cruisers… too slow and riding too bunched up for my preference. I faked a need to cut loose at the first rest stop and returned home solo.  Was interesting as one of the first good hot days here after some rain, really hot and humid in the farmland areas but refreshingly cool by the lake.

140km round trip.

Yesterday road around 190km round trip to a motorcycle museum close by. The owner has a great collection of bikes, mostly his, mostly his restorations, with some borrowed bikes on display too. Had a chat with him briefly but it’s his peak season so didn’t have too much chance to talk. Some nice bikes in the car park of other visitors.

I made a short video of some of the scenery on my ride.

Nice vidio, what is the ride count so far?

I could use a few hours of that!

Today's ride #12, 64 miles.
Started out of the house at 8am, a humid, clear sky morning, 71°F so it was perfect for the vented textile jacket and my Arai full face helmet. After gassing up @ 5 miles away, I headed northwest up RT 31 from Milford NH to the little town of Greenfield to take a right on RT 136 through Francestown and onto New Boston and picked up RT 13S to Milford for a breakfast sandwich before heading to church, then after church added another 25 miles to wander around the area before going to Harbor freight to get a battery powered fuel transfer pump. Then back to the shop at @ 86°.

Call this ride 7

My wife’s NC30 has been neglected this spring with all my efforts going into my CB750. But in true Honda fashion it took about 20 minutes to clear the carbs up and get back to running like a little gem of V4 gear driven perfection.

Rode up to the local ski hill, and blitzed some b roads. Long enough to make my neck and wrists say enough!

This little 400 will do over 80kmh in first then has a crazy close ratio box for the remainder of the gears so it’s common to shift down to first for corners and let it sing up to around 12,000 for 1-2 shifts.

Ride #31, 308 miles.

Weekend total, 499 miles.  Two miles less than last weekend's ride total.

Left the house about 7:45 this morning.  Hit town for some tacos and then off I went.  I was thinking about going north, but I enjoyed riding southwest least weekend, so I stuck with that theme.

I took a different route than I normally take to Medina, which is where I tend to jump on the Three Sisters route most of the time, even though I wasn't riding the Sisters today.  I took 337 to Leakey, where I filled up, and then continued to the opposite end of 337 in Campwood, TX.  Took a right and headed north on 55, which I did last week when I exited the Three Brothers route.  This time I stopped in the ghost town of Telegraph, TX and got a pic in front of the old Post Office/store.  Built between 1890-1900, it closed in 2011.  The price on the pumps was $1.99/gal.  That's probably as high as they go.  Stopped again for pics at one of the South Llano River crossings.  The Llano River always seems to have a decent amount of water in it, unlike some of the other rivers I frequently cross.  And it's always flowing.

Rode through Junction again for the second time in two days.  Took a break at the park.  Snapped a pic of the county courthouse on my way through town before filling up.

I rode up to Yates, and got on 385 to Harper.  I was supposed to ride 385 in the opposite direction yesterday, but missed the turn coming from Harper.

There was total cloud coverage this morning when I left.  The weather guessers said no rain.  They were right, but the clouds didn't clear out until about 11:30.  High was only 92F.  For whatever reason we are not having and intensely hot summer.  I'll take it!

I have some errands to run this week, so I'm hoping to get another ride in before next weekend.
