Well done Kelly! Tho Connie was a good choice for that kind of weather, for sure. 40° and wet  would bring me to tears, 19 more to go.

#8 yesterday, picking up parts for the CRF and paint for the race car. Started out OK and then got absolutely soaked (no rain gear). The Varadero offers some weather protection at speed but the worst rain came while sitting in traffic in town. It happens.

5-29-2024, 54 miles, #23 :-).

First time that I can remember that I left home with it raining. Debated about it and it was 830, I was well caffeinated and riding in a light mist sounded better than watching youtube until it was time to leave for second shift work. It did rain decent about 15 miles of it but not torrential by any means :-).  I think rain gear and a couple pairs of dry socks might be a good addition to my "always on the bike" equipment. Did not get soaked.

Friend and I were riding years ago, he on a Goldwing me on my K2 and we got caught in the rain, it rained HARD, and up ahead we saw a line in the weather, a place where things were different :-). Boy they sure WERE different, it was pea sized HAIL :-). A few got around our fairings and beat us up a little but we survived intact :-).

#46 for 85 miles. Had to stop and take a pic of this on the side of the rode! Two lazyboys from the 70’s?… I hope! Rode past them again on my way home and surprisingly they were still there!!

Today I did ride #6 from Wenatchee up to Omak, then over to the park at the base of Grand Coolee Dam. After that we rode south on 155 down the east side of Banks Lake and onto 17 for a stop at Dry Falls state park. Then looped south and west back to Wenatchee.
We covered a bit over 250 miles. The morning started out sunny and clear but turned to partial cloudy with occasional rain squalls. Our loop put us out ahead of the weather and we managed to miss it. We were right on the edge of the rain several times but never did get wet.
So far the bikes are running great and the only issue was today when I had replace my headlight bulb.  8)

Very nice ride Kelly. Did your buddy get his coolant puking sorted on the FJR?

#13  140km ride.
There are 2 Wednesday meetings now.
The biker club with tasty burgers.
MC Collection  at Tidö Castle other side of my town.

So I had to visit both.
First MC collection  with both bikes and cars. I had to leave too early when bikes and cars still filled up the place.

I saw both newer Challengers as an old one or 2. The original really is something, still !! ;D  Captured one with my phone.

Country roads to the biker club for a tasty burger.  1x150gr this time.

You have some interesting bike nights Per.
We had another great bike night last night too, sans the castle......but we had a band playing 70s music, and a flame throwing,  NOS injected turbo Harley and a food trailer serving custom brauts that are good(sorry no pictures of the braut as it was late and I was hungry....)
I didn't count it in the rides as I only traveled 15 total.

Thanks it was a great ride. Jonesy's FJR needed a new thermostat and a new cooling fan. The thermostat was stuck half open and the fan had seized bearings. It's all good now.

Congratulations WillBird, 24 in 2024.  Well done sir!

As for me, ride #25.  80 miles.  Today I was a rambling man rolling down highway 41.  At least from Springfield to London.

276 km. for ride #47. A few bakery stops and my only pic is of Mario’s lawn art! Beautiful day! Tomorrow I’m doing some test riding on a couple of my 750’s and then going to a bike night that I have never been to.

Today we headed back west over Hwy 20 for ride #7. 254 miles from Wenatchee back home. Once again the traffic was all going the other direction.  It was a nice day, had a bit of rain down near Marblemount.
It was nice to get a 3 day ride in before I start the Cyberknife radiation treatments. I'll probably be down for the next month at least. Jonesy said as soon as I can ride two days in a row we'll be hitting the road as much as possible before the end of the riding season. I should be able to finish my 24 rides in time.

I use https://maps.google.com to create them.  It's a bit fiddly when you first start, but it doesn't take long to get the hang of it.

5-31-2024 63 miles, #25.
Took a run a few towns over to grab some steaks, came back and threw one in the Souse Vide at 140F, headed back out on a snipe hunt for plexiglass cleaner at the closest Ace Hardware, came back and finished the steak in smoking hot cast iron with some avocado oil, had a couple microwaved spuds with it :-). Probably a 10oz or so ribeye, I think I had about $7.50 in it and only a few minutes actual cooking time. Steak a little on the thin side but that was what the store had. They sell the whole ribeye for $9.29 per lb, need to buy one and slice it up myself.
