Per…. It’s been snowing all day too! Time to get my skis back out. There is a company in Montreal that sells motorcycle snow tires. I may have to order a set.

See if they sell training wheels too John, just in case…. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

No rides today except for snowmobiles. But I understood it should happen.

John is SE of Toronto if I recall correctly, so Erie is the closest Great Lake.

Heard in news feed Rochester, NY is in the path of the eclipse and the place is overrun by tourists, just like most other areas in the path.  Opthalmologist are recommended you not risk losing your eyesight unless you know for certain your glasses are true eclipse glasses, the  permanent loss of eyesight is not worth the risk.

Mt Lemmon in Catalina mountains adjacent to Tucson on northern side that Tucson's northern neighborhoods are nestled up against had snow recent and likely to have a bit today/tonight. Had high winds today 44 to 52 mph gust with sustained 29-30 mph today. It calmed significantly as dusk approached.

Good job, lash! I was starting to wonder if anyone was riding.

I got my tires all mounted and balanced yesterday, so only 10 more items on my list and I will be back at it. You are making it harder to catch up, keep it going.

Wow, lots of bikes out today! Did 160km on the wing with my two buddies and after I got home it was still so nice out that I took one of the Cb’s for another 100 km, first cb ride of the year.
Tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy and cold for the eclipse but I’m riding down anyway.

Well done Lash, at 16 rides, you’re the leader of the pack! No rides for me this weekend, worked on my BMW with Spotty on Saturday and was raining yesterday, plus I cracked a rib last Monday so was too sore to bounce over the potholes of my favourite roads, not to mention that I was loaded up with some strong painkillers that I shouldn’t be taking if I’m riding or operating machinery etc. hopefully it’ll settle down and I can go for a ride next weekend. ;D

A cracked rib sounds painful, Terry. I hope you recover soon.

I thought you have got your dose and more of pain already with your other back/spine issues.

Thanks Per, I’ve broken all of my ribs over the years (along with my back, ankle, both wrists, several fingers and toes, my collar bone, my nose at least 5 or 6 times) so I’m kind of used to it, but this particular one obviously hasn’t knit well because it’s popped out a few times over the years, when I try pulling something really heavy, i.e, when trying to drag the bike trailer sideways in the rain to make it easier to reverse into Spotty’s driveway.

The worst part is bending to pick something up, folding/unfolding my large frame into the cab of my little truck, or driving over speed bumps/potholes. Getting up out of my comfy chair after sitting for awhile hurts like hell, as does rolling over onto my right side in bed. That’s probably the worst because, due to my other injuries, I can usually only sleep on my right side. Oh well, I had a lot of fun breaking all those bones, so I’m paying for it now. ;D

Thanks guys, there are a few more Kelly, I’ve broken all my ribs at least twice and some facial bones back in 2019, but apart from bike crashes and dirt bike shenanigans, most of them were from my time in the Army. Battle PT, parachuting, brawling, and just having fun. Greg is right, I never dreamed that I’d last this long, and I don’t have any regrets, I just hope this rib heals soon as I feel more like 94, than 64 at the moment. ;D
