Congratulations Per, it looks like spring has sprung finally for you!  Beautiful pictures, and delicious looking food. You're on your way now.

Yes Per +15C is ideal for my bones too without a Windjammer on a 750 or my wing without heated gear to keep me warm enough there days. If I had the extra $$$ I'd spring for Ander's upgraded stator to run heated gear on the 750.
You do have some great looking scenery there. I wonder how many birds unknowingly fly into that pyramid?
Here's hoping spring stays for you now. The temps here dipped back down to 12.7778C here the past couple days with rain and showers here north of Boston in New Hampshire so my bikes stayed in the barn. I've thought of Sean/The Lone Builder on his ride down from Nova Scotia(Belfast to Belfast), he's probably along the Maine coast doing short rides near Bar Harbor having cold sea breezes(or huddled in a room/restaurant warming up). He should be stopping by here in a day or 2. It will be back up over 15C here on Friday for a few days but more rain on late Sunday.

#29/155km. Out today with my wife on her Ryker, first time this year. Another beautiful day!
Tomorrow will be a 300-400 km day on the 71 cb to meet a potential buyer.

Pulled out the K3 today, for #3. Front brake was really stuck, but fresh brake fluid and a good cleaning solved it. Rode to Cavan and then on to Bridgenorth for lunch. Forgot to check, but at least 100 KM.

Chris is using the K3 (black bike). I’m not sure….. Either the K1 or the Varadero. As we’ll have some extra gear, probably the V. I changed the plugs and air filter on it and replaced the sprockets and chain. It’s ready to go……

Congrats on the ride John.  That's one of the joys of having multiple bikes...  if the weather isn't fit to ride 'em, you can always find one to work on!

Ride #18 today.  Best day of the year so far.  Low 80's with just a slight breeze.  Open face LS2 helmet and summer gloves.  68 miles, (110 km), of deserted Ohio back roads.  I'm loving these early afternoon rides with almost no traffic on the roads.  Would have been a great day to head for Hocking Hills.  :(

Meeting up with some of the old farts from work for breakfast tomorrow morning.  They picked Cracker Barrel in Piqua Ohio, so it should be good for ride #19.  Thinking of taking the CBX...

#30 is done, 260km on the 71 cb. No pics today but beautiful ride. No sure if I’m happy or sad, but the ride was to meet a guy halfway between our houses to see if he wanted to buy the bike. He decided he couldn’t live without it so it’s gone end of the month. Only 4 more to go!

#3  165 km  (Yesterday)
Not that sunny, but comfortable weather. Ride started around 4 pm.
17*C to 15*C  3.5 hours later

The usual ride around nice country roads with a Power refill in the middle.
A plug cleaning ride in higher speed than normal cruising on those roads.
Plugs were dark after last year's last ride on 120 mains. 115 after that ride.

8000rpm,  5th gear, 17:48 sprockets, rear tire 4.0-18, a little more than half rubber left. Speedo was happy swinging around 180kmh.

Plugs looked good after the ride.

Will check the Excel chart of CB750 gearing vs speed.

The forest is harvested. 2 years ago a dense forest.
One place revealed an old road to a larger farmers house with trees on both sides as done when the road is going over a field.

I have seen many fields for farming that has got dense forests sine the 80's. A little bit boring.

Photo of a small lake or pond where people swim summertime.

#

Watched TV and remembered the 80's while eating. It was happy our, extra GT free of charge!! ;D

#
Jane was not that Bad!! ;D
Not the Badlest!! ;D ;D

#
I brought the food home in a small backpack I have ordered from Amazon for bringing home food when riding.

Folded in a flat nylon bag (not included) placed on battery under the seat when not used. (Battery does not leak ;) )

Yes the K1 is a wonderful bike but I have to do something, I have no room to move. The buyer was very specific in what he was looking for. He wanted a 1971 because that was the year he was born and he wanted a green one which was stock. I know he will look after it as he already has plans on where he is going to put it in his office during the winter!
Going out today on the wing with the wife for the monthly cvmg breakfast down by the forks of the credit so 31 will be done.

Nice ride Per, it looks like things are starting to green up. Plus with that backpack you could do uber-eats on your bike for some extra cash!

Yes, there is a green explosion here now, Jim.
I got another ride yesterday.

#4 195km
I planned a longer ride with burger but voltage issues suddenly shown on the voltmeter. 13.2-13.6V from >14.3V despite 4000-6000rpm
Suddenly back to >14V after 15-20 minutes of worries. I got thoughts about either regulator or battery. All connections cleaned last year.

If battery, it can suddenly change to the worse if a cell is shorted.

So I headed back home, I was almost 100km away.
Buy a new cheap std battery instead of the not cheap AGM I have had thoughts about earlier.

So no time for lunch this time.

I stopped for photos here and there. There were many places with stunning views where impossible to stop for a while.

The forest floor is covered by small white flowers typical for our spring, the last photos.

I'll change battery today and another ride.

The dog leg levers, clutch and handbrake are very comfortable. My K2 has got a set too, from VintageCB750, GP style.

Well ride #19 done and dusted!  75 some odd miles on the CBX to meet up with the guys for breakfast.  Was a cloudy and cool day with rain expected, but just perfect for riding.  Took SR 36 most of the way on the trip up as I didn't know exactly what to expect for traffic at that time of the morning and needed to arrive at the appointed time.

Trip back home was on twisty secondary roads that had been recently repaved and smooth as silk.  There was a light rain falling but just enough so that you got that fresh spring smell in the air.  Almost no traffic at all on the way home and the road was just damp with dry patches still under the overhanging trees.

Stopped by a patch of bright orange flowers along the road for a photo and somehow managed to drop the bike.  There must have been just enough grade to the road that the bike rolled forward as I was almost off, and down we both went.  The bike sits very upright when on the side stand which probably didn't help matter any.

Not sure if I pulled something on the way down, or in the efforts to get the bike back upright, but it's going to be a day or three before I'm riding again.  Also, no photos.  It's been so long since I went down on a bike that I went into a bit of a panic mode and the thought of photos completely left my mind.

Dennis, sorry you had the drop and you are injured. Hopefully it is just soreness from the fall and nothing severely strained or torn. Any damage to the bike?
I quit worrying about damages to my car or bike, it is a thing and I want it to stay nice but once it is done, it is not helpful to beat yourself up or berate yourself. It happened and it happens. I just figured out what I did wrong and thank God for keeping me from more serious injury and add it to my things of how to avoid that in the future. FortNine did a video talking about new riders or riders who jump off a bike trying to prevent injury when they drop it and they drop the bike on their foot or ankle and do more damage. Experienced riders put a foot down, he was talking about slow speed spills. I once dropped the bike when I had pulled into a parking spot too hot and hit brakes aggressively and it shifted me forward firmly on the pegs and hands on the handlebars...so much that I hung up on getting my foot down and I dropped the bike. K owing I was going down I just let it happen and tucked to minimize my injury as I knew it wasn't going to hurt me if I didn't do anything stupid wearing armored jacket, pants, boots, gloves... It was more embarrassing than anything.
Had people come to my aud that was only adding to the embarrassment. Had cars that were not yielding as I was signalling and turning into a spot and they were ripping down the parking lot and there were people waking to their cars. I was already turning and the approaching cat didn't slow and I had already committed on the turn so I gave it to much throttle and turned and to avoid hitting a car in the adjacent space I stopped hard causing the drop. I was far enough away from the car to not endanger it. My bike was the VStrom with crash bars protecting much of it, so nothing major damage wise. I got dirty from the parking lot but the gear just got dirty and some scuffs. Bar ends got scratched, no big deal and maybe the crash bars took a few scratches... Plastic if rear panniers might have gotten a little texture on an edge. It is an adventure bikes when I go off road I ln sand and dirt I know there is the chance the bike won't stay upright if I am not careful, bought the bike to ride and enjoy, not pamper and polish... Not looking to trash it but you only learn by being taught or experience.
So, take the time to learn from it and run through your head what happened and add it to your mental checks on what do do in a situation similar where the bike catches you off guard.
The CBX like my VStrom and CX500 are top heavy so I know I have to be careful at slow speed and when moving the bike around unpowered.

Bruises can be accelerated for absorption by using a bengay mentholated cream on the areas that are injured, it will accelerate the body's absorption of the broken capillary blood that caused the bruise. Significant bruising should be looked at by a doctor if swelling is more than light swelling. Ice initially is good for injuries and then if you need it some light application of heat. Don't want to aggravate nerves with heat even if it feels good it can cause inflammation or inflammatory response in your body and that delays the recovery.
Ha g in there and heal up quick...

I have to sell some bikes because I’m out of space and keeping up the maintenance on 11 bikes is getting to be a lot of work. Cuts into my riding time! I also have 3 more frames hanging in the shed that want to be put together.
The other longer range plan is that we will be moving to Newfoundland in possibly 3or4 years so I can’t take them all.
Missed my ride yesterday because it rained all day but there s hope of riding down to the spring swap meet in Paris, On. today.

#5  127km ride.
Sunny beautiful weather around 20*C or even more. No wool under my leather jacket ;)

New battery, now the +$40US battery cost only +$30US.
Still same charging issues.

Adjusted when back home, core gap was +0.75mm,  adjusted to +0.80mm as I found earlier to work fine.
Tightened the max voltage screw  just a little.  ~1/16 turn.
Eager to next ride before presenting today's ride on the plug cleaning/reading road to Skinnskatteberg after some windling countryside and forest roads.

Parked beside the church.
I'm not religious but I like all old beautiful churches.

Several km where the upper needle area to main jet can be verified or just clean the plugs. Stable 160kmh for a few km, kill engine and roll into a parking area part of the widened road.

Faster possible too...if relaxing from animals eventual sudden visit on the road ;D
200kmh feels so much faster than cruising 160kmh on the speedo! ;D

Thanks Stu & David.  Nothing too serious, just quite a bit of upper body pain.  Feel like I did 1000 sit ups yesterday LOL.

Fortunately the bike has only slight damage to the front left turn signal and left hand mirror.  Should be an easy fix.

I've got my electrical problems sorted, but I'm going to pull the carbs back off as #4 is running way to rich.  Not sure why.  Starts and runs great, but the #4 plug is black.  Not the idle circut as it does the same if run at highway speeds.  No biggie as I like wrenching almost as much as riding.   ;)

Looks like rain on and off for the next 7 days here...

You will regret the bikes you DIDN'T buy much more than the ones you DID!!!  It's never too late to start a new adventure!
