#33 125 km ride Sept 5th.
I have done more rides. This documented with photos.
One of my favourite rides on good roads with very little traffic.

The longer Hindle muffler back on  bike. Not that loud and better torque in the middle range.
Carb adjustments to be verified and adjusted on the ride.

Over Ängelsberg (lake with Oljeön, Oil island where they cracked crude oil many years ago), Västerfärnebo and Salbohed stop for a meal.
(ä almost like e).

#34 documented
125 km
Yesterday Sept 6
Almost same route as the last ride.
Here photos to document the shorter days with sunset photos  7:20 pm.
Harakers church in the background.

Bike runs really fine from idle and up. No longer partly too rich.

I'll stop here later on and see how sunset arrives earlier. Wish for a minimum of one month more.
Last year ended October 7.

Years before end of October.
2022 had a 300km bonus ride, November 12 with sunny spring weather with +15C

Ride #40, 405 miles.

A personal best for me this year and a Hill Country best.  I don't think I've ridden this far in one day since 2018, which was the last time I rode to Sturgis.  Those were 500+ mile days.

The weather was stunning today.  It had been raining since last Sunday, all the way through Wednesday with a little drizzle on Thursday.  Today's high was a mild 84F compared to last week's 100-105F highs.  We've glided through this summer without most of the usual heat.  Usually, Septembers are just as hot as August.  It's like we've swapped climates with Cali.  Heard they are cooking out there.

It was a nice 69F when I left this morning just before 8:00, headed farther south out of the Hill Country than I have been on two wheels so far.  As I pulled out on to my road I noticed a stowaway clinging to my front brake line, trying to hide just behind my speedometer.  It was some kind of greenish/brown grasshopper.  I let it be to see how far it would hang on.  It started to creep up the brake line toward the master cylinder and when I got to Kerrville it had poked its head up above the windscreen.  It stayed that way, with its tiny antennae flapping in the breeze.  I got into some twisties going over the big hill heading to Medina.  I think it was enjoying the ride.  On the south side of Medina I pulled over at a small picnic area to snap a pic of passenger. I looked down as I was grabbing my phone out of my vest pocket and when I looked up again it was gone.  Bummer!  I didn't see it anywhere.  Oh well.

I carried on to Bandera and needed to make a pit stop.  I knew there was a city park there.  As I turned into the park area there were a ton of cars parked all up and down the street, but I didn't see any people.  The facilities were upfront and I found a place to squeeze the bike into.  When I came back out of the restroom I saw a guy standing there with a camera that had an enormous lense.  I remembered I had brought some coffee so I'm sipping away watching the dude with the camera just standing there, and out of nowhere hundreds of teenage girls emerged, jogging along, all wearing track uniforms from different high schools and numbered up.  Ahhhh, some kind of cross-country race through the park.  The dude with the camera was taking photos of the event.  Almost as fast as the girls appeared, they disappeared minus a few stragglers.

I jumped back on the bike and got back on my route.  Stopped in Hondo for some gas, which is the farthest south I had previously been.  I kept riding south to Devine, Tx, then west to La Pryor.  Snapped a few pics on the roadside, where I turned north heading for Uvalde.  This was all flatlands...south of Hondo and Uvalde.  I've also been to Uvalde previously.  Stopped for more go juice, then kept riding north.  I got to Leakey and was really craving a hamburger.  I detoured and hit the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop and the Bent Rim Grill.  I devoured a 1/2 pound "Indian Chief", aka bacon cheeseburger.  One of the better burgers I've had there.  I didn't ride the Three Sisters Loop this time around.

I carried on north to Junction.  Gassed up for the last time.  Made my way to Mason and then home, where I arrived safely at 4:00pm.   Great, but tiring day.

Working my way up to a 500 miler.  I'm going to need a new back tire first.

Really nice sunsets you have there, Per.  The lake pictures remind me of the swamps in Louisiana, with the giant cypress trees growing everywhere.

604km today for #92. Left Clarenville and decided to keep going until we made it home, as the weather is not supposed to be that great tomorrow. Long day but the weather was wonderful, sunny and 28c.

#35
300km ride Saturday
Fantastic sunny weather 24-25*C.
Synchronized carbs last Friday so bike runs extra smooth making a long ride extra joyful.
Added cleaning fuel additive for carbs and where it goes.

I started when time for lunch so I could finally test a restaurant  in Skinnskatteberg I have seen many times when passing thru.

I will definitely stop there again.

After a good lunch continued my ride on good country roads with very little traffic.
Via Malingsbo, Söderbärke, Smedjebacken, Säter, Hedemora, Norberg, Avesta for refueling (220km), Salbohed, Svanå, Skultuna and back home.

Mostly on good roads cruising in 100-120kmh with some additional WOT passing rolling obstacles. ;D

More photos of this route can be seen earlier in this thread.

Wow, there’s some longer distance rides here:

Bud 405 miles
Lash 604 km 375 miles
PeWe 300km 186 miles

Per triple 9/5 9/6 9/7  300 + 125 + 125 km = 341 miles
Lash triple 9/5 9/6 9/7    604 + 416 + 430 km  =  900 miles

Per, What a burger in Skinnskatteberg! I’d surely be heading back to Bårestads Grillen for that masterpiece.
Is that a Gyrospizza at Salbo? Think I have seen that one before.

Bud, nice  Indian Chief burger at the Bent Rim. Do they have a Scout burger?
Think it will be a long time until I see a 754 burger.

I have my new tire mounted. I have to clean the chain lube off the muffler before reinstalling.
42f this morning, brrr! But 80f tomorrow and this week to get more seat time.

We had 51°F this morning to start at 6:30 to ride to Riceorama(big Vintage Japanese MC of America Swapmeet and Show), met up with Alan F in Milford for coffee after his chilly ride from Haverhill MA to Milford. We headed south on the back roads through Hollis to Brookline and then south on Rt 13 to Rt 119 west to 31 south and my GPS sent off on a side road adventure that was an unexpected adventure of beautiful roads putting us 4 miles from the Fairgrounds. It was breezy the whole day and topped out at maybe 68° because of the Canadian winds blowing last nights storm out to sea. It sure feels like Fall is here!
Alan needed some go juice so we emptied his tank(almost) and got gas in Fitchburg on the way back.
We stopped at 4pm at the Alamo Texas BBQ for a late lunch/early dinner as we skipped the long line for burgers at the Swapmeet,  Irememberedto take some food pictures!. It was good eats. I had the brisket, Alan had the pulled pork.
I got a few things, a NOS #1 muffler, a decent alternator cover and stator set, 2 NOS oil gauges, several engine covers and a tach and speedo. Thankfully Alan had $100 to lend me until we got back to give him a check. It was a great day all around. Now I have to get in the van to go to my friend's house to pickup the stuff as he brought it back for me in his truck.

Ride # 19 today
Total miles 125 for me(Alan probably got 250 total!
OK, Alan says he got 211)
51°F to start at 6:30am
@68°F high today
62°F to finish

Edit: 8pm just got back from picking up my stuff and took pictures. I didn't get a tach as I was thinking.....
I got 2 speedometers,  a K3/K4 and a K6.
Plus 3 headlight ears that are decent.
And 2 fork gators that are starting to crack(so they my get trashed?)

#20 today, 65 mile ride on the wing to house sit and be chief cook and bottle washer for my mom while my sis is vacationing in Spain until the 20th.
Another beautiful late summer early fall morning of 64 degrees to start off at 8:30am, perfect on the wing, a mix of some back roads and 2 lane numbered road to jump on the slab towards the coast here in southern NH.
We'll see if I can get out more while I'm here. Mom is 98 and doesn't want to go out for a ride these days.
She's baking an apple pie now though!
Still makes her own crust from scratch. I'll get a finished product picture later....

Per, What a burger in Skinnskatteberg! I’d surely be heading back to Bårestads Grillen for that masterpiece.
Is that a Gyrospizza at Salbo? Think I have seen that one before.
Another ride to Skinnskatteberg is a must! ;D
That burger was really tasty, not only the look.
A weekend, after work too much.

The kebab is kebab in bread.
They bake the bread "pocket" by pizza dough. Fill it with kebab meat slices, vegs, spicy red sauce and a white milder.
So it is bigger than greek gyros.

Below a real greek giros. Summer 2023 in Kryopigí, Kassandra peninsula south of a bigger town Thessaloniki.

I added a fuel additive during my longer ride so my carbs work much better now, less fuel screw and better overall.
So another ride to find out if it can improve even more.

4x normal dose, needed!
Carbs were dirty by use.
From now on, a carb cleaning tank each year.

She used to like to ride but got scared by someone back in the 70s when riding with my dad and hasn't gotten back on again since. But she admires seeing the bikes.
She and dad along with dad's brother's used to go to the Laconia Classic in the 40s before my oldest brother came along.

Some tasty looking stops guys, and nothing better than Mom's apple pie!

Yesterday ride #34 52 miles.  Sorry no stops or photos.  I did stop out at Mom's to look the place over, but no real photo opportunity.  Beautiful weather again hi temps in the mid 70's.

BallAquatics, maybe after the affects of the hurricane move past you will have weather nice enough for a trip down to Hocking Hills, you should make a 2 day trip of it to enjoy it even more if you can swing the time and expense...

You can always slowly warm up a piece of pie in the microwave to enjoy it warm after the fact... Yes, warm pie is often a pleasure we don't enjoy often.  A warm fresh slice of moist chocolate cake is also a treat.
Here in the US pumpkin spiced drinks and food are going into full swing until near Christmas time when peppermint flavored and eggnog flavored things becomes more dominant...
Personally one of my favorite cakes is German chocolate with coconut pecan frosting...rarely find a really good one if I try them when I see it as a desert offering in a restaurant. Heck you spend a fortune on a dessert at a restaurant there's days, if the rest of the meal wasn't expensive enough. Fast food prices have increased to the point many are spending a little more for the middle priced places that aren't fast food which haven't increased as much for some reason.
I try to frequent to small locally owned places because they deserve to stay in business, if you don't support them they cannot remain in business. The franchised chains food is often not that good either... A few franchised chains buck that problem by maintaining excellent quality and taste.

Bud, nice  Indian Chief burger at the Bent Rim. Do they have a Scout burger?
Think it will be a long time until I see a 754 burger.

No Scouts and no 754's, but they've got a few items named after Hondas, and several other Japanese bikes.  No love for British or German bikes.

Here's the menu.  Scroll down.

#36 125 km ride.
(Did same ride yesterday, no photos, no documentation here)

The weather was planned to be really wet as late as yesterday. But the weather guessers were wrong until this morning.
Sunny weather after work. Cooler air has hit us.

Summer has fallen, fall is here!!
I had to test how lean I could set my fuel screws when carbs are cleaned inside. I could reduce.

A ride to enjoy. The weather is still not wool sweater cold. 17*C when back home 6:15pm.

I saw flowers we love to see in June.  Lupines.
I did not tell them that fall is coming.

P.S.
Warm apple pie in micro is the thing.
My wife's pies are better than my mum's when she was still kicking. ;D

#21 today, had to ride back to my place to vote, rode down into town to go to my favorite Hamburger joint, Papa Joe's, had a Hatch green Chilli cream cheese bacon burger (last weeks special) because they still had the fixins. Ooopps,  no pictures again of the burger. Oh well it was good.
The trees are starting their change of season.
135 miles today.
