Thanks guys, I had a great ride. This week has been fantastic, well, Monday sucked as it was over 100 deg F, but the last couple of days have been brilliant ride days. Yesterday I took the K0 out again and had a fantastic ride #36 of around 90 miles, and found some more Christmas decorations to take a pic of.

I took a different route, and rolled into a tiny town and took another pic of the old red bike parked out the front of the old general store/post office, that has long been closed down.

First up this morning I met up with Rob, the former owner of the Kawasaki KZ750 at the DMV to cancel the old club permit and get a new one. Surprisingly, we were in and out of there with a shiny new red plate in only 20 minutes! Woohoo! I drove home, and decided that I needed to go for ride #37 on the green bike.
Not sure what fuel it preferred, I topped up the tank that had about half a tank of 91 RON with around 8 litres of 95 Ron. It seemed to like that, so I took off on one of my favourite routes, and stopped for a pic of the Christmas decorations outside a farm.

I rode out thru Romsey, Lancefield, thru my "Hidden Valley" where I had to snap another pic.

I rode back to Kilmore, then decided that a pie was in order for lunch, so rode to Broadford, only to find out that the bakery had closed down! Bugger, they weren't the best pies I've had, but certainly weren't the worst either. While I was staring at the closed down bakery, a lady of around my vintage asked me if I owned the green "Kwaka" (as we used to call them here) and asked if it had been restored? I explained that no, it was a "survivor" imported from the US with only 13000 miles on the odometer, and she couldn't believe it, her husband has a couple of Kawasaki's and apparently they've both done high mileages, in the 40-odd years that he's owned them. Anyway, she told me that she loved the bike, and wished me a Merry Christmas, which was nice.
By this stage I'd done around 90 miles and wasn't sure how much fuel I had left, so at the 98 mile mark I stopped at a big gas station and filled it up, and it took only 8 litres of fuel, which was amazing, seeing that I'd been cruising at 5000 RPM (80 MPH) for most of the ride. There was a KFC there, but I opted for a McDonalds cheese burger (which I'm sure was made from papier-mâché, as it had no taste at all) and a small chocolate shake, which was much better than the burger.

Hopefully I'll get a couple more rides in before Christmas, the Harley and Triumph are covered in dust, so they need a run, as do both BMW's, the black VTR1000F, the Ducati, the BMW's, the Z1-B, the DT250, etc etc. I'm so looking forwards to retire in December next year so I can do more riding. Anyway, the Kawasaki went really well, apparently loves 98 RON fuel, and is a pleasure to ride.
