98 VTR1000 SuperHawk or Firestorm?
« on: January 01, 2024, 04:03:38 PM »
There is a great deal to be had locally on a middle/high mileage example (about 2500 miles/year) that appears stock and gently used. I've watched a few videos and they appear fairly easy to work on.
Does anyone have any experience with these?

I've got a 2004 firestorm, has a 19 liter tank as opposed to the 16 of the earlier ones, that gives a range of 250 km before the gas warning comes on. They are lovely to ride with the lazy torque.

A Ducati styled Hot rod  8)   Benellisei has the touring/adventure bike version(Varadero)of it in black,if you like carrying luggage.

I believe the engine in my 2008 Varadero is a “detuned” version of the VTR1000. Fantastic mile muncher. It runs very well on regular unleaded and amazing brakes……

I hadn't realized Veradero had so much in common with these bikes.
I don't have any more space right now so I'm forced to pass, but I'll post the link in case someone might be interested.
