I have a decent connector to put on it. Getting ready to go get a bite to eat and the swap out the connector.

I think I only “need” the rectifier - as my regulator looks fairly nice. But if you don’t want to be stuck with it, I can always buy it just because!

I think I only “need” the rectifier - as my regulator looks fairly nice. But if you don’t want to be stuck with it, I can always buy it just because!
Either way is fine for me. Basically I'm just including the regulator free.

If I may ask - I'm trying to diagnose the spark issue, and I don't appear to have 12v getting to the coils. Can anyone confirm on the K1, does 12v come in via the black/white wires?

That is correct. From the key switch, through the kill switch, I believe.

If you go to the front page of this forum and search the manuals for your bike, you will find the best colour drawing. I usually make my self a colour copy for the shop, at least 2 X the regular size. If you plan on replacing the harness, you will need it.

 If those carbs are Kawasaki Mikunis which I believe they are, and the carb rubbers fit the Kawasaki spacing, hang onto those carb rubbers. If they are the adapter ones, they are unobtanium and useful to fit 29 smoothbore carbs to a cb750 engine.

That is correct. From the key switch, through the kill switch, I believe.

Thank you!!! I was able to identify that I do NOT have 12v at the two black/white wires. I put 12v to them - and now - I HAVE SPARK! This is phenomenal as a new harness and not this hacked up job will likely get me to a solid point to finish it with carbs!

The battery is incredibly low - and will turn the engine over for maybe 4-5 seconds before it has to be charged again - but nonetheless, I heard it for a brief moment!

You're not wrong - made the enjoyment a lot better! It should warm up tomorrow or Tuesday, and then I should be able to get it runnign for 10-15 seconds to truly hear how it sounds! I'll make a video and continue to cross my fingers!

I would update to the new fuses.  I was out of state, using a cigarette wrapper for a fuse, driving from one parts store to another trying to find glass fuses.  They are somewhat rare.

Yep, especially since the type (SFE) hasn't been made in the original automotive vibration-proof form since the 1990s!
There's some out there now that carry the "SFE" legend on them, but they are just normal fuses with thickly-shaped elements. They are not vibration-rated.

FYI - these bikes need a good battery to provide spark and run correctly. How old is your battery?

Been awhile since we’ve made some progress on this one! Friday - I finally got the bike back to my house along-side the K6. I finally got the new harness put in - and that was a chore. Most of the things inside the headlight bucket aren’t working right now - including the horn. Unfortunately there was many wires cut/spliced in - so I am 100% sure that I’ll have to go through and figure those out - or order new repro controls so I can get everything to match up.

With that said - the engine does turn over with the new harness! So I had to hook up the battery pack and see what we could get! It took some effort - but check her out! Additionally - I’d love to know what you think the black stuff is!?!
