Here she is. The yet to be named CB500 my father and I picked up to get running and restore eventually. For now, the frame and everything are in amazing shape, and getting the black paint off the engine is gonna require some experimentation, so I'm gonna be rocking the patina for the time being. Currently waiting to find an exhaust to get it running. That's about it for now. Maybe I'll figure out pictures out someday. Thank you kindly for looking.

From the looks of it, probably the easiest method of paint removal is using Aircraft Stripper. It will make a right mess, but that paint doesn’t look to be too well adhered.

Be cautious removing the left side clutch cover. There’s a “cam” behind it that moves the clutch pushrod (which runs transverse through the engine) and they are often damaged.

DING DING DING! 68' Cutlass S Convertible. Someone had it spec'd out tho, so it's sort of a "442 in disguise" if you will. Higher output with the four barrel, four on the floor, rear posi, the works! It's lots of fun. But yeah. News on the bike is i'm getting some stuff pieced back together. I'm a college student currently so I tend to pull graveyard shifts in the garage. Wiring is a little rough so i'm looking through wiring diagrams to get things fixed. I didn't have the electrical panel that sits under the left side cover, so ordered one on ebay. Figure I'll try to run it with the original components now and as time goes by or as I find things are worn out I'll replace them. I need to put in an order for coils, the points and condenser looks good so I will try and run them for now. Is it obvious I'm pinching pennies yet? Once I know it runs I'll be a little less stingy. Also need pipes at some point. I'll keep you posted.

I was just reading this morning that used brake fluid is great for stripping paint.

Can confirm.... changed a few masters cylinders on old cars. The Fire wall paint does not hold up against it.... at all.
