Topic: Titanium Rocker Nuts

Cycle x has a set of 8 for 79$ I think, for about half that I can find them from a reputable source for maybe half of that. Anything special about these that justify the price?

If you're talking about the valve adjuster nuts I bought them from McMaster Carr company in the 70's I can't remember the size now but they still carry them. Im not sure about the thread pitch though. Lookslike $7.20 each

speaking of titanium adjuster locknuts,
I'm curious if anyone has had issues with them. I think Dennis had one loosen on his salt bike. I was dialing in a cam & adjusting the tappets today on my salt bike engine and found 3 of the adjuster screws were thread bound where the titanium nuts were sitting from the last time it ran. Where the adjusters screw into the rocker thread they seize where the nut position was. So I replaced 3 adjuster screws but also checked the titanium nut threads compared to the standard nuts.   Surprise........the titanium nuts were way to loose on the adjuster threads compared to the standard nuts and that has been burring the adjuster threads. I feel as if I have dodged a bullet so I am now using standard nuts.
