1977 K7 rear tire. I have I have K7A Aluminum wheels on it. Could I go with a 140/80-17 tire, it has 130/90-17 on it now, thanks

Take a look at the clearance between your 130 tire and the swingarm. The 140 would be 5mm wider on each side. Enough space left without any  potential tire rub? There's your answer. While on the subject, why would you want a tire wider than the 130? I think 130 is just the right size on the K7

Kudos on the wheels from the automatic. The alloy wheels are a marked improvement in performance and appearance. The tires on mine are Shinko. They are very satisfactory in wear and performance

same wheels from gl1000... I run 140/80/17 on mine, on cb750f0.  I think the 140/80/17 ends up looking narrower than a 130/90/17 and ends up very close to the same overall diameter as 4.00x18.  A 130/90/17 actually ends up quite a bit taller than 4.00x18
