Where do you buy your points from?

Hey y’all,

I was riding and all of a sudden lost ignition on 2.3.
My points completely broke in half!

I remember buying some in the past that were rubbish.
A forum member instructed me that points for the CB350F’s should be bought on a specific site.
I can’t find that post though unfortunately :/

Do you have any recommendations? I will probably buy an Allen screw set as well as mine are very stripped.

All the sohc fours use the same points plate assembly, go to David Silver spares and look there it will cost a bit but you get the complete plate with points and condensers plus the wireing

Search part number 30200-300-154

Aftermarket points and condensers are junk.
Get them from Honda.
South Sound Honda in Washington has the best on line pricing.

New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

I'm not certain the advertising on those points that 4into1 has are 'on the mark'.
The best points will be in red OEM Honda packages(from a Honda dealer)showing Honda part numbers,imo.

2 things here...
1.  For years, literally anyone selling non-oem points and condensors no matter what they say in the ad or on the phone, when they turn up, they will be Daiichi brand...straight useless garbage.
2.  I have not bought much from 4 into 1, but what I have was also straight worthless garbage...just not doing it anymore.

You want your bike to run?...you gotta drop the lettuce on the oem stuff or go electronic.

TEC points ARE Honda oem...Honda also uses/ed Denso and Hitachi

These firms do not sell points and condensors independently.  They are only available through Honda.

Try common-motor.com. Just got some and they appear well made. They specialize in these bikes, work on them and have great videos.

Your old condensors are likely fine, stay with those. Just get new points.

TEC point plate and point 2:3 have a guide groove/pin to keep it correct when adjusting it.
That has been up in a thread on this forum achear or 2 ago.

Think it was forum member  Deltarider that posted some photos

Daichii not. That can explain the long time adjusting and not get it right.

TEC points have a blue/purple color dot.
Plate must be TEC too.

I have dealt with TEC points mostly and they are very good quality; they live for ever. I can't remember I have renewed them more than just once in over 140.000km, be it that for the last 60.000km they only had to switch the control current for my homebuilt EI, which in amps is far much less than in the original configuration > no pitting.

I went on their site.. I didn't see any for the cb350f.. did you see them there? I am wondering if the cb500 points they have are compatible.
