1985 CB550 harness routing???
« on: March 12, 2024, 10:47:53 AM »
I'm assembling this bike now, and I had to splice the electronic ignition into the brake light turn-key wire. I'm trying to figure out how this ignition harness and what it hooks to is routed. Can anyone show me a pic or something? The points wires go on top of the clutch cover ya? Which bolts do the harness clamps attach to? The bike was sold to me in pieces so pics would help...thanks

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S.
