5.5 mm ID Fuel Line

This long length of fuel hose arrived from Japan in just over a week. Via Japan Post, no extra Duty or Fees! Not sure about in the US, but here (Canada) the dealers don’t even want to order it for me. Great deal.

Great price! I've been getting it in the standard 5m length at almost 2x as much.

IIRC both VW beetles as well as vans had 5,5mm ID fuel tubes.

What a find!

Get some. Lifetime supply and worth every dollar. I used two lengths to hook up the remote tank on the K6 for “first start”. Pushed on perfectly and no leaks. Perfect.

This will help cut a few $$ out of the carb rebuilds that show up here. I've been buying Honda's 6m package, pretty pricey stuff that way.

I have been able to get the shorter length of 10ft from Barrie Honda in Canada as needed, with this last batch bought late last year. John, you got the motherlode there with as noted a lifetime supply which is great, as items get discontinued on a regular basis.

Here is the SKU and it is genuine Honda 5.5mm fuel hose.

That's the one I have been getting until now, but it makes the hose like $6 per foot, OW! :(

Well then it maybe NLA now, as I bought it last year. I think it was around $38.00 Cdn plus HST. So $3.80 ft. which is palatable as I still have some stock for awhile.

if that is 8000mm and I did the math right that is 26' ?? They are asking for $26 to ship it.

This place same quantity, about same price but only $9.41 to ship.

I have been running some weird 1/4" Tygon (probably counterfeit) with clamps, this will be better.

FWIW here is the Honda SKU for the float bowl overflow hose that is always rock hard after 50+ years on there, or totally missing from the carb bank after all these years.

Yes. The fine, single wire style with a circular loop at both ends of the circle. I really believe they used them to finish the job and limit liability. On bikes with simple gravity feed tanks, I don’t bother.

I need to correct the statement I just made. On my K6 project, this hose pushed on very tightly to the carb tees (the one between #1 and #2 carb and the one between #3 and #4), and the tee before the fuel tap. HOWEVER, when I slipped this new hose on the original fuel tap (petcock), it went on far too easily. I dug around in my bins and found a nice clean clip (as pictured above) that fit snuggly on the hose. Definitely better. Interestingly, when I measured the brass nipple on the tap, it is quite a bit smaller than the other connectors. Use the clip there!

Thanks for this thread, I've ordered myself a roll of the stuff. The OEM hose on my bike has been trimmed over the years and it's a tight fit to get things to connect without undue stretching of the hoses
Current Project: CB750-K6 (hoping for OEM look)
Future Project: CB750-K8  (likely go wild on this build)

When you use the wire clips, do you just put the clip on and then install the hose? And then just pull the hose/clip off to remove? I've always found getting any sort of tool up in there to get them off when removing the hose is tough to do.

I only used the clip on the single outlet on the K6 petcock. Squeezed it open with pliers as I pushed the hose on.
