74 Yamaha XS650
« on: March 12, 2024, 02:38:24 AM »
I bought this bike as a wreck a bit over three years ago with the intention of buikding a cafe racer.  I have a fuly equipped workshop with athe, mill, welders, compressor and so on, so, do al the work myself.
The buike was a non goer I brought it home, damaged crankcase from an errant chain, 70psi compession, missing bits, lost of rust and the aluminium was badly oxidised.

Over the three years I rebuit the engine, painted it and made a number of mods:  single points conversion, VM carb conversion, extended manifolds, spin on fiter mount, cooler mount, PMA mount, handbuilt exhast and muflers, seatpan, tail light, battery carrier, headlight brackets, side panels, chainguard, rebuilt the wheels, plus lots more I can't remember.
