Can you tell what year this head is by these stamps?
thanks for the help!
the block is 78 but the cyliner & head are older.

if it doesn't have a bolt hole in front middle, its an early ko or sandcast
a side view of cylinder head fins will reveal if its a post 1972

Look on the top fin intake side between # 2 & #3. What markings are there?
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

My 75 750F has a 392 cast into the top fin in that area. My 78 750K engine has a 392 cast into it plus a K8 hand stamped next to that. The K8 head has a few refinements/changes to the springs & keepers, etc. Both these heads are more or a hemi chamber than the earlier K heads. The shrouding from the earlier K heads had been removed. Hope that helps. More/better pix always help.
