Discovered some parts I needed at a Honda Dealer in Saskatchewan today (I’m in Ontario). The Parts Manager was incredibly interested and helpful, my parts are on their way. He sent me a cool picture of a Honda Ascot that he turned into a true “duel sport”. Nice work Lyle!

Here's the Honda Ascot I did a make over I did for a friend. I owned an 84' for a few years,  fun bike but the 2.5 gallon gas tank was just too small.

 A friend had one, he had a problem with the printed wiring board so he bought another one. I always thought it would make a pretty cool dual sport. And easily.

I still want to find a single cylinder 83' Honda FT500 Ascot red,if possible.
I started searching for one back in 2018'.

I've got 3 bikes now,so I better wait until I have my own place with more room.
The apartment only allows the use of one parking space(two bikes in my space now)and I already have a 750 in a 10'x10' storage unit,along with lot's of other stuff.

I still want an FT500 Ascot with the big single. When the VT500 version came out I thought the small V-twin engine was very cool, the shaft drive not so much.

Ryan at the Fortnine YouTube channel did a review of one a few months ago. He also thinks that the idea is cool, but that the actual bike is one of the worst Honda ever produced.

For you FT500 Ascot guys…I have a OE 1982 Honda shop manual for this bike I bought at an auction. It’s in perfect condition and doesn’t appear to have been used. It’s a first addition and comes punched. No dirt on the pages and all there. PM me if interested.

That dude from Fortnine is a putz. The VT500 Ascot is a great little bike. The shaft drive works great. I had one for several years and the only downside is the 2.5 gallon gas tank.
