Good afternoon all,
I have searched to no avail. I think my question is either too basic or such a no brainer no one has asked.
I am having issues with a non starting issue motor cranks and after a while backfire and motor hates choke. Spark on all plugs and when removed they are soaked.
Got it running on two cylinders with carbs now empty and using a spray of carb cleaner in the air box.
Carbs are cleaned and I have ordered new float valves since the rubber tip on several looked rough.
Now for my actual question. When I cleaned out the carbs I notice the pilot jets base (slotted end) chewed and stripped.
Does the end of the jet have a big influence on the fuel getting to the engine? Seems like the fuel level is higher than the base so it should t influence it too much.
