As original Honda points covers have been hitting silly price levels, I thought I’d try these from vintagecb750.com (I needed some other stuff for the K6 and these got me to “free shipping”).

I’m impressed. Nice, heavy gauge, excellent chrome and the gasket and insulation coating are in place already. Haven’t installed one yet, but our “back roads” K3 will definitely get one in place of a too nice original. Will report on fit.

The one in the pic is blank. I have seen imitation covers without the 'Honda' logo, but with '750' instead.

I also bought one of the unbadged ones from VintageCB750, as mine was well dented up. What is the point of all the goop insulation in the bottom? My OEM unit didn't have any (should it have?)

The later OEM ones had a thin layer of some kind of mastic. Maybe to prevent points arcing? These seem to be a little over done, but no harm.

I was thinking it was a sound deadender ? My original K2 cover had a thick white/grey putty kind of stuff painted onto the inside of the cover.

Same cover to CB750 and 500.
I have had thoughts about ordering that cover from 4into1 together with clutch and brake levers dog leg model.
Shipping price stopped me.

I have 2 extra covers with SOHC stamped. I should park my K2's stock cover and use SOHC cover.

Yamiya has better price on the CB750 stock cover.

The plain one shoild fit the 400 and 350 as well as they are the same size but screwholes at a different angle

As an aside; they came in a bag, inside a bubble pack envelope, wrapped in paper, in a cardboard box. Well protected!

At $30 that's a good option for a rider, if they fit properly.
I was looking at new covers from South Sound Honda($161) and JT Mark's($200) the other day....stupid money....
I bought a box of NOS parts back in December and was happy to find that it had a nice new cover in the mix with new screws too.

I have to think IF people were actually buying very many at that price point really good counterfeits for $50 will show up. I think one could be carved from billet TI for $200. The overall time and money expended in a build that the crowning touch is a $200 NOS points cover is somewhere I will not end up any day soon :-). Don't get me wrong, I WANT one LOL.

Seeing how much the Honda points covers are selling for I think I will keep the one I was going to put on the K4 project I’m working on and add the nameless to my next Vintage 750 order.
Benelli, we got missed with much of the snow here in Minden but north got a foot and power out all over.

I was considering one of these because 1) mine is dented 2) it’s chromed and the rest of my covers are polished (to a mirror sheen - thanks for the Caswell recommendations, forum friends)

Is the difference between chrome, and a highly polished aluminum surface, super noticeable? I saw yamiya has replacement aluminum covers for sixty million dollars

My K2 will get a set of levers. Mostly for brake and better grip power.
My K6 already has, but for clutch power. It has hard springs. Only tested in my garage but it feels much better.

Good with spares. International shipping cost some so the price per unit will be better with more..
