Carb vent tubes sealing
« on: April 15, 2024, 11:31:57 AM »
Rebuilding my cars and one of the 90 degree little aluminum elbows got stuck when I put it back in, and galled quite a bit. Still fits, albeit loosely and I don't want to force it. Given that it's just a vent is it okay to leave it loose, or is this air supposed to be carefully metered? I can seal it with some gasket material if so.

I've occasionally had to JB Weld one back in place when the hole got enlarged somehow, letting them be loose or fall out.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.
