My Kawasaki 600r has electronic ignition. It is a pair of hall effect sensors that feed an ignitor. The ignitor handles all of the timing advance. New ones are not available, and I hesitate buying used. I've tried a few things to replace it with something new, like this
https://s3.amazonaws.com/gpzweb/Ignition/GPZgmHEImod.html which worked, but there is no spark advance, I took the Power-Arc ignition off my 750 and adapted it to the Kaw and it worked, but it doesn't fit under the cover. Last night I bolted on a spare Honda cb750 points plate, which fit, but I think the hole in the end of the crankshaft is in the wrong spot, plus it's too tall to fit under the timing cover anyway.
So, I am looking for something that would have spark advance and allow use of the timing cover. Maybe a pair of those cheap little minibike CDI boxes?
