1982 CB650 Starter Clutch
« on: May 11, 2024, 05:26:05 AM »
Had a hard time getting the starter clutch apart, took all of the tools. Looks like the Torx screws were seized in there and didn't even have loctite on them anymore. I'm also about 70% sure somebody attempted to take this apart before in the past as 1 of the Torx screws was already stripped.

The starter clutch looks like it could be damaged on the sides. The machine shop who did the valve job on the cylinder head said the engine appears to have been over-revved, wonder if the higher rotation speed started pushing these out.

Should this be replaced or would I still be able to reuse it?
