I'm pretty sure that on my '78 750 it's 23mm.

Have a good time!  ;D

I used a Crescent the first few times I played in there.  Then one day the wife says "I'm going to Sears, do you want anything?".

I love it when she says that!   ;D

I never realized until last week that these bikes use 23mm bolts for things.I was taking the fork tube caps off and the only socket I had to fit was a 15/16 which was a loose fit but worked. My metric sockets don't include a 23mm so off to Sears we go!!!!

i bought a 23mm wrench just for that purpose, but sharing a shop with 7 other people (most of whom have sohc hondas) means it is constantly missing...  ::)

Was an easy install. Went smoothly. My points needed replacing anyway, 2 and 3 were adjusted as far as they could go and were still a bit too advanced.
Runs well, though only took it up to 6k here on my block.

Hey Paul, I'll want to come by this week and do timing. I only did static timing, let me know when a good day is.
Used a 23mm socket, worked great.
I did NOT do the dyna coils, this is with stock coils. I will be adding dyna coils and plugs wires next month, finances allowing.

i'll let you know when i'll be there mark. in my experience, static timing done well ends up dead on when checked dynamically, as long as the advance unit is functioning properly. hope it runs better...

It's running pretty good now. Now that riming is good, and valves are adjusted, I can finally start fine tuning these damned carbs :P

Not with mine, it didn't. I'm sure that disappeared sometime in the early 70's.

Mark, we don't have a 23mm nut because the end of the crank has been removed for lightness.

A few weeks ago when we did the riming or *tming* which ever you prefer :D :D :D :D :D  we put it in top gear and turned the rear wheel slowly,....worked a treat  ;D ;D ;D ;D

How about just bumping the kick starter?! Sure is handy and on the same side too.
