Was a beautiful day here.  Got my new gas cap from Honda Restoration.  Talk about quick service, they said they would be out until April 15, gas cap is at the Post Office on the morning of the 16th.

Thanks again Stu for turning me on to Honda Restoration.  I will be sure to check there from now on for any further needed parts.

Bike is running great.  Had a small hiccup with a bad coil, but I've put over 300 miles on the bike since getting the carbs done.

1972 Suzuki GT380 I had charge of it for a year in 1973 while my friend was deployed and learned to love street riding....
New CB450 K7 after my friend returned...
New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

Does it have 3 coils?  What was the solution??  Nice job on getting it back on the road...

Thanks, and yep, 3 coils.  Picked up one on Amazon.  It was from Caltric, $21 and a perfect fit.  Might not last another 45 years, but I won't either.  I've purchased a few items from Caltric and have been well pleased.

It's great to have the bike back on the road.  It's the only bike that I've ever bought brand new.  Brings back a lot of happy memories of trips with my wife.  I'm thinking I'll keep it a year or two and then find it a new home.  At almost 70, I'm moving towards smaller bikes.

 I've used a couple sets of gl1500 coils on a cb750F and a gl1000. The upside is that you get a spare for a 4 cylinder bike and can replace the wires.

Well the coils are all sorted, but the #4 carb is running super rich.  Not sure what's up with that.   :o

Going to check the float level using clear tubing from the bowl drain and go from there.

Bike starts and runs good otherwise.  The rest of the plugs look great... just #4 dark and carboned up.

 Apparently, an intake vacuum leak may cause a carb to go rich. That goes against what I'd think would happen but I heard it here.
