Right Hand Switch Issue?
« on: May 21, 2024, 08:54:23 PM »
cb750 with standard wire harness and Emgo switches from CognitoMoto.

Left hand switch wiring done with blinkers, headlight, brights and horn working fine.

Right hand switch giving me grief - starter button doesn't give more than a few millivolts at the solenoid and the coils are the same.  There is a consistent reading on the volt meter when the buttons are switched but like I said no more than a few millivolts.  Not sure if the switch is bad but I ohm'd out the connections and they have continuity.

Anyone have ideas on what the problem could be?

Resolved, both leads were hot when they were marked differently.  When not following the wiring diagram it all works :)

I had one with a displaced switch part. It shorted to the handlebars, there is a hold down tab that holds everything in place in the stock switch, the repro lacked that part and I had dislodged it when pulling the handlebars.
