Wildlife and bikes....
« on: May 27, 2024, 03:13:44 PM »
Has anyone had any wildlife problems with their sohc4? A bizarre one for me today, out on the 750 and I got caught in some heavy rain. The bike dropped onto 3 cylinders and I babied it along for a bit hoping it would clear, no luck so in the end I pulled over into a convenient place. I could see number 4 was the culprit as that downpipe was wet from the rain, and looking down alongside the plug cap I could see some kind of debris there, so I pulled the plug cap off to find it was a large (by UK standards) spider. Removed that, replaced the plug cap and all 4 cylinders were back in action for the rest of the ride.

I haven't had that one, the critter issues I have are usually ones that are gone and the issue is what they chewed up or urinated on.
We did ride to my daughter's house and then to our grandson's ball game. I could see an ominous cloud and finally convinced my wife we needed to go. We made it halfway home before the storm caught us, I have a windjammer and the lowers are still on it so we didn't get very wet until I turned off of the highway and ventured into town.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
