I’ve had it up on the hoist checking it over.

It needs a bit of love (not too much). But it makes me smile & chuckle when I see something like this.

I did ride it for 10 minutes this arvo around the neigbor hood & enjoyed every second.

Oil change revealed a bit more sparkling in the old oil than I would have liked to see.

Most likely the cam chain is flopping around in the tunnel.
It's almost guaranteed the tensioner rollers, especially the upper one, need looked at.

Excellent...that was my high school era. Those 350's were nice. Parents would only let me get a new CL175, but I did restore a 73 CB350 a few years ago. Rode it for a month and found i had been spoiled on my 750's and sold it. Last I heard it went from WI to CA. Congrats on a nice score!

I’ll have to do some investigating.

The top end is quite noisy.

They do look great! Can you remove the left side cover on the CL175? On this CL200 I had, the exhaust had to come off to remove the cover! Fortunately there was nothing under it that needed to be looked at regularly!

It’s the same as the CL200. The exhaust needs to come off before the side cover can.

That does not sound like Honda engineering...

Agreed! Very odd indeed!
