My Google and eBay searching skills really really suck now that I am old. If someone can find some of the parts I am looking for I'll donate $ to this forum.

I'm looking for a decent tach for a 1975 400F.

Also looking for the throttle side rear passenger grab handle.

A decent OEM muffler but I know that this is hens teeth now.

The Honda plate that screws into the alternator cover. I thought 4into1 offered these but I can't find them and their customer service is bot driven I fear.

I'd like to also find chrome spokes for the rear wheel.

The rubber boots which cover the heim (?) connections on the shifter.

I appreciate any help and or suggestions. This is a great forum and I'm so glad I found it.

Some of that stuff is/was still available new from Honda. As previously noted I did a complete nut and bolt 100% restoration on a CB350F. Honda Canada still had some of those parts available such as the alternator cover plate. I bought the rubber boots for the shifter on a CB400F I did a number of years ago too.
Start by looking up the correct Honda part numbers for the parts you need and then do a Google search for them. CMSNL in the Netherlands and David Silver Spares with a US location are a source for NOS parts if Honda doesn’t have stock anymore.
The gauges are very difficult to find in decent condition yet do come up on a rare occasion on EBay and are always spendy when located.
Be prepared to pay for these parts if you want new pieces either from Honda or a NOS part from a supplier. Remember they are 45+ years old and worth money when found and not cheap anymore.
Common sense.....isn't so common!

I'm not an expert...but might have a few tips that will help in your parts search.

In addition to David Silver Spares and CMSNL, have a look at Webike for a lot of the parts you are after.
https://japan.webike.net/HONDA/CB400FOUR+Air+cooled+408cc/14621/m/#!search&p.p=1&p.sk=0&p.ref=model&p.rows=24&p.m=14621

I have been told that Honda part number 24724-422-000 is an excellent replacement rubber boot for the heim joint. It is for the VF500.

The throttle side lift handle is not an OEM item. It was never on the bike originally. But, there are sets available through Webike. I have them on some of my 400F's.

Best of luck!

Oh! It's just for putting the bike on the centerstand, then?

Webike definitely has the alternator cover plate, and a few alternatives too https://japan.webike.net/ps/11632+333+010/#!search&p.k=11632+333+010
