Parts Drawings/Diagrams
« on: June 21, 2024, 07:52:32 AM »
Is there a reasonably comprehensive set of drawings/diagrams for these bikes?  If so, then where can they be found?

We know they existed.  They were created as part of the design process and they almost as certainly still exist.  But are they only available to Honda dealerships?

Fortunately for me South Sound Honda is at the other end of my town.  It seems to me they used to provide an online resource for identifying parts and part numbers and I think this may have included exploded drawings.  I spoke on the phone with their parts guy yesterday who as able to look at a drawing and answer my current question but he was unaware that South Sound Honda has historically provided an online resource very much appreciated by those of us who love these bikes.

If you mean actual parts blueprints with dimensions in 1969 they were probably hand drawn in pencil, inked by hand, then printed by ammonia process blueprint process I bet.

In today's world, any given part can be digitized!
Not then.

The only drawings released by Honda are in the parts lists.
You can get a pdf of the parts list from the link in my sig.
I'm sure the original drawings/blueprints exist in the Honda archives in Japan.
It would be cool to see some of the original blueprints/patterns.
Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

They probably dont exist anymore as Honda had a big fire in the archives years ago.
Another parts list source is cmsnl
