Cb750 Sandcast body parts
« on: June 27, 2024, 07:45:28 PM »

There was some doubt on another thread whether the tank trim is plastic or metal. Looks like metal to me.

I picked up this Sandcast body set recently.   Vic World bought the Sandcast but didn't want the body work so I got what's left over.

Unfortunately the fork ears are missing. If anyone has the correct fork ears please let me know. I'm looking for the same colour and original paint.

Is that what's called a "wrinkle tank"?

Yes.  The "wrinkles" appeared during stamping in the manufacturing process.

I wonder why Vic didn't want the body work, it's not very common to find

I can’t find that other post about the tank trim. Dugout the originals from mine and they are definitely plastic. The ones I got from Yamiya appear identical. I may reuse the originals.

That just tells me he has a LOT of sets, more than he has frames or cases I guess.
