This immaculate Honda is for sale very locally at a ridiculously low price. This photo is the actual bike and it looks even cleaner in person. About 20,000 miles and US$3K.

Anyone have one? Talk me out of it? I don’t need it!

Looks like a 650 turbo without the frame mount fairing. Never seen one before.

you may well need it , they are a very good bike .
i have never owned as 650 but i put 80 thousand miles on a 500 in fourteen months without a problem . the 650 is regarded as a better bike .

Prior bikes....
1972 Suzuki GT380 I had charge of it for a year in 1973 while my friend was deployed and learned to love street riding....
New CB450 K7 after my friend returned...
New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

i was a london dispatch rider for two years , in total i did 187 thousand miles , had 3 bikes a cx500 a suzuki 650 katana and a suzuki 1100efe . used the big suzuki for out of town work with the honda for inner london stuff . the 650 was used as a spare .

The euro sports are nice bikes and the 650 if introduced first would have kept the CX alive for a long time. As it was a short production run between the cx650 custom frame and gl650 and then the Eurosport.
Water pump impellers are problems as they erode away but you can buy a new anodized one that is better than stock for couple hundred from guy in Europe that had a production run of CNC and wire eroded splines before hard anodizing.

They are a fun bike with sufficient power to keep you smiling.

 The older American formula antifreeze probably would kill the impellers sooner, it has tiny silicate grains to polish the cast iron rusty car engines.

Was wondering what you would do with the money after selling 2-3 bikes!   Seems I always bought one [or two] after selling one.

You guys are making this very difficult! The guy that wants the K6 is coming in a little over a week. If he takes it I will go have a look. A friend came by yesterday that has been to see it. He says it “vibrates” a lot, and rode it. I was hoping my wife would ride it, so maybe not……

They seem to have a bit of history with bad stators and they suck to change. My bil did his twice. Nice bike though!

Once you get the plastics cleared on the euro to drop a motor isn't too hard. Having dropped the motor on my CX it isn't a tough job. The stator can go bad, yes this is true. Replacement stairs that don't have the original problems are available and the water pump me handicap seal also is a weak area for the design of the 500 motor.
The cx650 Euro is a TI design as opposed to CDI ignition and is a much less troubling design.
If the price is right you will have a nice bike if it fits you well.
I like the Euro and the 650 ti is a much better motor than the 500.

Damn, that's the best looking non-turbo CX I've ever seen. The boomerang wheels are my favorite Honda wheels.
