His friend Ivan Rodriguez and his girlfriend went to visit him today. They were going to help him pack up a few things. He was about to move to the Philippines. He was excited about it and looked forward to it. They found the door open and him unresponsive on the floor. Called tge police and unfortunately he was already gone. RIP 🙏 Ted Allen.

He was almost on his way in the next few days. He said he was going with his brother-in-law to pick out a place he had found to live in. We were talking about a dinner steak house meeting that the ex-pats do monthly in September. He left this world on a high note.

Scott, I only spoke with him once in the past month or so with 2 or 3 PM's prior. Ted and Ricky Racer.

I passed this info along to the contact at the Philippine Retirement Authority as Ted Allen. She had no client with that name and came back and asked if he is possible Ted Allen McCarthy.

Well then...sad news.  I also had many dealings with him, although never met him in person.  He was always a pleasure to deal with...so much unobtainable knowledge.  I could always tell that he really did not want to let go of his motorcycle collection, but was very happy to find others that appreciated his stuff.  Condolences to all who knew him.

I've dealt with Ted numerous times through the forum here. Always pleasant to deal with and always seemed to have the coolest parts! If I lived on the West coast I would likely have purchased a great many more items from him. I know he was looking forward to retirement...

If anyone runs across an obituary, etc please link me to it. I'd like to forward it to the powers that be in the PRA, Philippines Retirement Authority where Ted was applying for a SRRV, Special Resident Retirement Visa. If he had gotten very far into the process he may have funded the required bank account which is some serious change his heirs would deserve.

Ricky saved our butts a couple of years ago when we found a broken upper triple tree for a 70' CB 450. We bought one off of Fakebook and got ghosted for$50. Ricky sold us a complete triple tree assembly for the same $50 as we lost.
