What's the length of this part?
« on: July 24, 2024, 04:18:56 AM »
Question in the German forum: what is the length of this collar used on the CB550Fs?  https://www.cmsnl.com/products/collarrrwheel_42311390000/

The 42311-390-000 spacer is outside of the actual wheel assembly.  It is pressed between the left wheel bearing and the swingarm/chain adjuster, going through the sprocket carrier and seal. No idea why it only fits the '75-77 550F Supersport models, except their swingarms are also unique to this model.
I would get my hands on one from a CB500/CB550 K model (42311-323-040) to try - same ID and OD, and likely very close if not the same in length.

Just came across this that may offer more insight:

Thank you both. Domp in the UK site came closest: http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php?topic=31309.msg301923#msg301923
Have forwarded the info on both collars to the gentleman in the German forum.

Thanks. How does that compare to the regular 500/550 part?
