Question for PD42A carbs experts
« on: July 24, 2024, 09:44:24 AM »
Does anyone know why there are two different types of #1 bowls for these carbs? I noticed my carbs has the "other" version. Does it matter?

On my '78 K8, I think they are PD42B.....

Of course #2 is for the accelerator pump.

Have to assume they were changed out before you received the bike.

There is a #1 carb with a straight-down overflow pipe, and another with the angled version. They seem to interchange OK, though. The one with the angled overflow tube seems to be more common, at least in the USA.
