Engine Oil Costs.

If you live in Canada, you know our bike oils prices have more than doubled in the last few years. I’ve always run Castrol 10W-40 4T in my old Hondas. Alternatively, the MotoMaster 10W-40 4T is the same stuff. I buy which ever is on sale at Canadian Tire. Best listing right now is MotoMaster at $11.99/ 946ml. (1 US Quart).

Amazon.ca just dropped the price of Honda GN4 10W-40 by 27% and it works out to $11.75/ 946ml. It comes in 4 US quart jugs. I am paying for “free delivery” so ordered two for today. May have to get a few more…..

   It's not much different in my neck of the woods either, if you want to get the best possible price for say, oil in this case, you have to go online. I just have a really hard time paying the prices my local supplier charges knowing that I  can go online and buy the same thing for $20 less and it's delivered to my door. It adds up over time.

John...yes, oil has gotten expensive just like everything else.

You don't like the Shell Rotella?  Sure, it's not motorcycle specific oil but many of us are using it and at $15.98/gallon, it's a bargain compared to other motorcycle oils.

Just habit. Castrol used to give us free race oil at the tracks……

I've completely forgotten about that. Boy, were THOSE the days.
NGK gave out sparkplugs, too, by the box!

Funny. Champion and NGK used to show up at different tracks. We had their stickers held on with double sided tape, depending on who was giving away what!
