Brake line bolts from 4into1.com are seriously inferior.
I put their short stainless steel brake hose kit on 1.5 years ago. I had to bench bleed the master cylinder a couple days ago, loosened the bolt to bleed, started to tighten with very little torque and bam it breaks at the through hole because of the Chinese pot metal the bolt is made of. The original bolts from Honda are much better steel and don't have a hole drilled all the way through. Do Not use the 4into1.com brake hose bolts.

I'd be a little concerned however I have seen on rare occasion certified bolts with defects too, but as you say OEM design is with one hole. You'd have to test a few for torque and compare to the originals, could be a one off or not. What is the shiny black coating on the 4into1 bolt and is it a steel bolt? Neck area looks smaller too?

The bolts came shinny black, powder coat?
Yes the neck is definitely thinner and the bolts are short.

I had gotten the short throttle cables also when I got the brake hoses and bolts. One of the throttle cable lock nuts was improperly sized for the threads and would not lock tight. They sent another cable but it did the same thing.
A friend brought his bike to me last summer to work on it and brought a bunch of parts he'd bought from them. Carb kits and new floats. I told him to send them back. The float brass was not strong.
They sell junk straight from China. Very poor quality parts and I won't order from them again.

I only get the Vesrah gasket kits from them, myself, and once a bit of 'chrome' (plastic) trim for a tank edge. So far they have been real Vesrah kits. I ordered one of their ('generic'?) spark advancers about 4 years ago because someone here bought one and it didn't work right: since then I have seen 2 more. Each one had different springs on them(!), and none of them were correct, advancing far, far too soon on 2 of them and much later, but not full advance, on the 3rd one. I couldn't get the 3rd one to full advance as the engine it was in wouldn't rev past 5000 with it in.

However, the baseplates of all 3 were usable: I found that the post in the middle would fit the Honda advancer cam pretty well, so exchanging the bases worked out  OK in the end, making the original rusted advancers re-usable after all. While they were cheap, if one considers I only used 1/2 of it, that made them about the normal cost?  ::)

The coils my friend got from them seem to be holding up so far along with the plug caps and NGK plugs.

Ok, this is toooo funny.
Anyways,  4 into 1 has always sold a plethora of questionable parts, so choose carefully if that's even possible. I really avoid them for the most part these days, they print 4into1 on so many of their items, I mean really,  who wants 4into1 all over their bike. Ya pay them for the part, ya don't need to advertise for them.

Good or bad, I am glad to have many options for vintage parts. Some stand up others do not. I have a Tytronic ignition on mine since 2017 that some people bad-mouthed as Asian inferior garbage. Most American vendors import because domestic manufacturing costs and poor quality would force them out of business. I have a caliper piston from 4into1 I am happy with. We certainly have inferior stuff to choose from too. One or two poorly designed parts do not make all parts from a vendor bad. This post is partially what this forum is about, weeding the lawn. :)

Selecting aluminum to replace steel is bad (be this the case?-magnet check is suggested), selecting a bolt with a smaller neck cross-section and/or one weakened by another hole is not ideal, having less thread engagement is not the best either. I know this is not what you want to hear but if it were me I would have tossed the part first before installation based upon what transpired through this informative post.  Your 'spider sense' should have been tingling :)

Yup, and my spider sense starts tingling as soon as you look at 4-1's prices...not that I have not succumbed to the temptation of trying them.  But guess what?...you DO get what you pay for! (generally)  The economy is obviously false when parts are visibly incorrect and poor quality. 

In my experience, 4-1's parts are useless garbage.
If it works good, it looks good...

The only thing cheaper than the parts 4into1 sells is the customer service… GOOD LUCK!

if you do buy from them, do it via Amazon, at least that way you can have a 3rd party force the return if they send you garbage.

I've bought lots of parts from 4-into-1 over the years and haven't had any issues...yet.

I replaced the oil pressure switch on the Varadero with one from them. It works fine. A couple of weeks ago, I installed the second one (I bought a pair) on the S/C project. I spun the engine over and it sounded like it oiled up right away, but the light stayed on. Installed a gauge and sure enough; the switch is junk.

Well the clutch cable I bought from 4into1.com decided to let go today at the lever end while out doing errands. I felt a loosening on the last ride but it didn't show any signs when I glanced at it just after I felt it. This cable was the short cable for the Euro bars on my K5 750 that I put on @ 1.5 years ago, maybe 3,000 miles on it.

i would imagine an aluminium brake line pressure bolt to be illegal and not certified?
ive bought a few cheapie dirt bike master cylinders,very cheap and that bolt has always been steel?

This post was made to warn others of the piss poor quality of the parts that 4into1 sells. I won't buy or recommend anyone buy anything from them. They are Chinese run selling inferior garbage.
