4 into 1 sells the same stuff that others like Vintage CB750, CB750 Supply and Parts N More does.  They get it from the same distributors.  Know this going in.  When it comes to cables, I buy Motion Pro.  When it comes to brake lines and fittings its either Russell or Earls.  When it comes to seals and gaskets its genuine Honda.  Don't trust the off brand stuff for critical components.  4 into 1 also sells TTR400, Joker Machine, and Emgo parts that are all good quality. Its a matter of knowing what to buy from those places and what not to buy.

I bought brake lines on ebay for the CB900C and reused original banjo bolts because provided bolts were too short.

Well the clutch cable I bought from 4into1.com decided to let go today at the lever end while out doing errands. I felt a loosening on the last ride but it didn't show any signs when I glanced at it just after I felt it. This cable was the short cable for the Euro bars on my K5 750 that I put on @ 1.5 years ago, maybe 3,000 miles on it.

Boy, THAT is amateur hour for sure! Heck, I used to hand-make cables myself (shortening them), and all it took to make the ball end stay on was to solder the end wires, heat the whole thing up and slide the ball up to the end.

True, they may sell SOME of the same stuff but the majority of what vintagecb750 sells compared to 4into1 is much better in quality.

Also, if you have a problem with something vintagecb750 will make it right, while 4into1 won’t even answer emails (don’t even try to call).

I had a mirror I ordered from vintagecb750 but didn’t install it for about 6 months after I bought it, first ride the glass fell out. I emailed them, letting them know, just so they were aware of it. Didn’t ask for a refund or a new part knowing it had been 6 months since I purchased. 2 days later a new mirror showed up in my mail box. That’s how you do it and keep customers. (My new mirror has been without issue for 2 years).

Meanwhile 4into1 has fought tooth and nail to deny returns or refunds on cheap parts they send. I quit using them. If you need to get something they sell, buy it on Amazon through them, that way Amazon can force a return or refund.

This has been my experience with both them, and PartsNmore. PartsNmore even decided to stock the different thicknesses of clutch plates, which is a confusing factor for rebuilders, after we had a long 'talk' about the issues. Once I got some wrong parts by accident from PartsNmore, and they were stellar in their response (and profuse in apology!), some of the most responsive I've met in this industry.

Lately SouthSoundHonda has had trouble getting some of our parts: after I spent some time talking with them, they are interested in trying to prod Honda for some more support, too. That kind of response bodes well as a vendor, IMHO.

It is almost to the point if you need a part where you cannot get OEM you need to ask on the forum about the part to see if others have had good experiences with a vendor, not in the list of vintagecb750, partsnmore, partzilla, cb750 supply...
Some sellers recognize the lifeblood is their reputation and when you damage it or lose it when you are a niche supplier it can be impossible to recover.
Just like Z1 parts built a reputation for quality Zed parts, that reputation rewarded the owner when they decided to step back and sell the company. Luckily the new owner who also picked up Randakk's recognizes this and has tried to keep they quality parts. A few aren't quite as good in case of Randakk's has been my experience but overall, I won't have to worry.
Just like some of the eBay sellers are trustworthy and carry good parts, it is more of a gamble with them.

At least we are not dealing with the mess that CA77/78 and CB77  Dream owners face with misnumbered jumbled part numbers and even distributors cannot straighten out that furball. Mislabeled misidentified parts are the norm there. We don't have that nightmare.
