Idle Adjustment Question
« on: July 29, 2024, 12:26:33 PM »
1978 CB750F. Do I need to do anything else to raise my idle a couple hundred rpm other than to turn the large adjustment screw? Clockwise to raise rpm, right? As a bike mechanic, I'm a great mental health counselor, but I try.
Thanks for any/all responses.

Make sure the engine is fully warmed before adjusting...also 77/78 models have a fast idle for warm up, it can be adjusted but it is not so simple and incorrect adjustment may adversely affect accelerator pump operation...so kind of a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" situation
If it works good, it looks good...

Yeah, what he said. ^^^
It's easy to get the 77/78K wrong.
