1975 CB750F Brake Rotors Alternatives Options
« on: July 28, 2024, 04:54:28 PM »
Hello everyone, asking for help on Brake Rotor (Front and Rear) replacement alternatives or resurfacing vendor.  OEM or NOS seem to be hard to find.  So, I started searching for aftermarket but, I’m not familiar with the quality or history of the brands, i.e., 4 into 1, Niche brands.

Asking if you have any recommendations; for a good source to purchase OEM/Aftermarket Rotors or a vendor for resurfacing.

Been doing a restoration on this bike, recently rebuilt the Master cylinders, front caliper and adding new SS Brake Lines soon (OEM lines still have 1975 stamped on them).

While I have the Wheels off, I’m considering removing the Brake Rotors, chain and chain sprocket for maintenance and/or replacement (if necessary). Although these are the original Rotors, they still have thickness between 6-6.5 mm, no warping or gouging (OEM Specs state 7mm Thickness with 296 mm Diameter – still within tolerance I believe).

Been searching the Forum for a couple weeks on Brake Rotors Topic, but can’t seem to nail down any specifics on 75-76 CB750F replacement options or a resurfacing vendor in the Los Angeles area.  Thanks in advance.

Andy…

There are some iron rotors maybe still out there, they might work better but they don't look very good for very long.

The front rotors are the same for all 750s except for the 1977-78 F2/F3.

Got it, thank you. Hopefully my original rotors just need some fine grinding and cleaning.
