Hey, that's a great restoration!  I have a copy of Honda Owner from Summer 1974, introducing the new 75 models. Your bike is on the cover! (and featured inside.)  You should have that magazine to disply with your bike at shows!

Was not my 1st choice, but sometimes you have to do what you can find. Was last registered in 85, was drained and battery removed. Inside of tank is like new. Not a scratch in the paint, even the frame paint is perfect. All chrome is like new. Only major parts replaced was the exhaust and original tires.. Found a perfect exhaust in California for $125 (thanks to bill440cars). Almost every part except exhaust and carbs is either cb450 or cb550. Wish it was a CB750!

I'm having a hard time believing there's more than one CB500, brown with a brown seat...  Tell me it isn't so.

Love your restore.. I bought that 500T in April 1975 for 1595.00 I rode it 10000 miles and got 1495 for it in April 1976 for a CVCC 5 speed Civic. It was 1986 until I found one again... Lots of great memories... Two up  From Charleston SC to Waterbury Ct. Was I crazy back then or what... Thanks for the nostalgia trip!!

Cool bike dude.  Hope you didn't think I was implying anything bad.  It was just so odd seeing an almost identical bike because your bike is definitely unusual.  I rarely see 500 twins for sale and this one even had the brown seat which I've never seen on craigslist.

No, it's not for sale...yet. Afraid something's got to go. All the brown is original, even the gauge faces are brown. Only used in '75.
